The Future and the Present Past

Lost in Autumn and in spring

The story she said was the thing

How love succeeds and happiness brings

How I love how that happens

The sanity for which I strove

In my car I drove and drove

Passed did I a Sunny Cove

Funny how that happens

And now a child fresh and new

With platinum hair and eyes of blue

To wish upon a star so true

Life begins when this happens

Think back as you knelt and prayed

When our child danced and played

I have to add that he wrote this poem about our daughter before I was even pregnant. It is amazing that he had this insight into what was to come, a beautiful daughter with eyes so blue and hair blond and platinum in the morning sun.
